After You Reach Out

What happens next

We reply

We are open Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 4pm. We ask a few questions about the space and what you want changed.

We walk the space

We come to you, measure, and look at the things that usually drive cost, like plumbing and layout.

You get a fixed price

A written scope and a fixed price, with no hidden fees. You decide from there.

We build

We pull the permits the job requires, work to the clear schedule, and send photo updates each day.

After you submit the form

The form lands in the same inbox we read through the day, so a form and an email get you to the same place. We reply during our posted business hours, usually by phone if you left a number, since five minutes of talking beats four emails. On that call we ask about the room, what you want changed, the age of the house, and your town. If anything you described sounds like it needs eyes on it, we say so then rather than later.

Next we book the visit around your schedule. We are on the phones and on site Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm and Saturday from 9am to 4pm, so early mornings, after work, and Saturday appointments are all normal here. After the visit we write the scope and the fixed price and send it to you in writing. Then it sits with you. There is no follow-up campaign and nobody chases you, because a remodel is not a decision anybody should be pushed into.

What to have ready before you call

None of this is required. All of it makes the first conversation shorter and the estimate tighter.

●

Rough scope

Which room, and what you want different about it. Take out the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. Lose the tub and put in a shower. Finish the basement. A sentence is plenty to work from.

●

Room dimensions

A tape measure and the length of each wall gets us surprisingly far. Ceiling height helps. An old floor plan, a builder drawing, or the sketch from your appraisal works just as well.

●

Photos

Two wide shots from opposite corners of the room, plus close-ups of anything that worries you: the electrical panel, under the sink, a stain on the ceiling, the crawlspace. Send them to info@pinnaclenw.co.

●

Timing and budget range

When you want it done, and the range you are working inside. Sharing the range is not a trap. It is how we scope toward something you would actually sign instead of handing you a number that was never going to work.

Where We Work

Serving the Portland, Oregon metro

We travel across Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington County in Oregon. If your town is on this list, we come to you.

Not sure whether you are inside the area? Call and ask. See the full Portland metro service area, or read the Pinnacle Promise before you call.

What to tell us when you call

You do not need drawings or a finished plan. Most people who call us are still deciding what the project should be, and that is fine. What helps most is knowing the room, roughly what you want different about it, and your town. If you have photos of the space or a rough measurement, send them to info@pinnaclenw.co and we can get further in the first conversation.

If you already have a bid from someone else and you want a second written price to compare, say so. We would rather quote against a real scope than guess at one. Either way the estimate is free and the price we hand you is the price in the contract.

Two things worth raising while you have us on the phone. There is 10% off a full bathroom remodel right now, and financing is available if you would rather spread the cost out. We also pay a 250 dollar referral once a job you sent us closes, so mention it if somebody pointed you here.

How the estimate visit works

We come to the house. Try to have everyone who will be part of the decision there, because a second walkthrough for the other half of the household costs both of us a week. We measure the room, then look at the things that move a price and that a photo will never show: where the plumbing actually runs, what the electrical panel can carry, whether the floor is level across its length, and how the room ties into the spaces around it.

We also ask what you do in the room. Where you set groceries down, which cabinet you fight with, who gets the shower first on a weekday. Those answers change a layout more than any question about finish style does. In an older house we spend extra time in the places that tend to hide problems, like under sinks, around exterior window sills, and in the crawlspace hatch nobody has opened in a decade. Expect questions about materials and finish level too, since those swing a number further than square footage does. Nothing is sold at the visit and you are not committed to anything by having us out.

A ballpark number and a fixed price are different things

On the phone, before anyone has stood in the room, the most honest thing we can give you is a range. We are happy to talk through what usually drives cost on a project like yours, and that conversation is genuinely useful for deciding whether to keep going. A range is still a range. Nobody should build a budget on it.

A fixed price comes after we have walked the space, taken measurements, and written a scope that spells out what is included and what is not. Once that document exists, the number on it is the number that goes in the contract for that scope. It moves only when you ask for something different, and any change gets priced and approved in writing before we do the work. If another contractor hands you a firm price without ever seeing the room, the useful question to ask is what happens to that price once they open the first wall.

Existing project or new enquiry

If we are already building for you, call the same number and lead with the project address. That gets you to the schedule and the crew instead of the estimate queue. For anything urgent on an active job, water, power, access, a gate that will not open, call rather than email, because email waits for someone to read it and a phone does not.

Warranty questions on a finished job go to the same number. Tell us roughly when the work was done and which room it was, and we can usually pull the project up while you are on the line. New enquiries, active jobs, and warranty calls all come through one line here, so the address is the fastest way to land in the right conversation.

Common reasons people call

Kitchens and bathrooms are the bulk of what we do, and they are usually where a fixed price matters most, because that is where surprise change orders tend to show up. We also take on full home remodeling, custom remodeling, deck building, millwork and finish carpentry, mold remediation, and commercial subcontracting. Start with Portland kitchen remodeling or Portland bathroom remodeling, or browse the full remodeling services hub. Questions about price, permits, timelines, or the warranty are answered on our remodeling FAQ.
