Who issues the permit where you live
This is the first question that decides how a remodel gets scheduled, because an incorporated city runs its own building department while an unincorporated community goes through the county. We pull the permits and book the inspections as part of the job, so you do not have to work this out yourself. It is here because it is worth knowing what you are dealing with, and because the office that will inspect your house is a genuinely useful thing to have a link to.

Two honest notes. Dunthorpe is unincorporated Multnomah County, and the county does not run a building department of its own; it routes permits to Portland, Gresham or Troutdale by area, and Dunthorpe is not named on that routing list, so we confirm the office by address before we file rather than assume it. And if your town is not on this list, the Oregon Building Codes Division keeps a directory of every local building department in the state. You can also verify our licence yourself at the Oregon CCB using CCB #258040.
