What Homeowners Say

★★★★★
These guys are absolutely amazing. Incredible quality, attention to detail, an great customer service. Had them remodel my kitchen an both bathrooms an turned out stunning.
★★★★★
I’ve partnered with Pinnacle Construction on multiple projects in the Portland area, including bathroom remodeling, and have nothing but good things to say. Their team is professional, communicative, and takes pride in doing things the right way. Jobs are well organized, timelines are clear, and expectations are set upfront — which makes working together smooth and efficient. They treat homeowners with respect, keep job sites clean, and don’t cut corners. It’s clear they care about quality workmanship and their reputation, not just getting in and out. I’m always confident referring clients their way for bathroom remodels and other construction projects in Portland, and I look forward to continuing to work with them. Highly recommend.
★★★★★
Finding reliable professionals to take on smaller projects, especially around the holidays, is never easy. I was referred to Pinnacle by my neighbor and got a fast response. Replacing an outlet and making sure some wiring from the prior homeowner was done right is possibly their smallest project, but they didn't treat me like it. Replies were fast; they came out to see the project, while others wanted a few hundred to even do that, gave an estimate only a few hours later, and booked a time to fix it later this week. They were on-time, friendly, and the lights are back on fast, and the issue was resolved. From the first message to being fixed in just a few days! Would recommend again and plan to contact for some other future home projects!
From Our Job Log
A job we were called out for, in their words
A real Portland metro job, taken from the customer's own Google review. We do not put a town on a job unless the customer named one, so this is not being claimed as a Vancouver project.
What they called about
A living room, a kitchen and a bathroom, remodeled together.
What we found
Owners who knew exactly what they wanted each room to become, and a house they were still living in.
What got done
All three rooms were remodeled, the living room opened up, and the owners were kept informed at every step.
★★★★★
The team was punctual, respectful of our home, and clearly skilled at what they do.
Pinnacle NW Bath Remodel is a fixed-price remodeling contractor serving Vancouver, Washington. Vancouver is the county seat of Clark County, Washington and the state's fourth-largest city with 190,915 residents, sitting on the north bank of the Columbia River directly across from Portland, and we come to you: we walk your home, put a written scope in front of you, and build to a fixed price with daily photo updates and a 3-year workmanship warranty. Kitchen, bathroom, custom, and whole-home remodeling, plus decks, millwork, and mold remediation.
- Do you come out to Vancouver for the estimate? Yes. We come to you. Vancouver is part of our Clark County service area, and we drive out to walk the space, talk through what you want changed, and hand you a written, fixed-price scope before any work starts.
- Who issues the permit for a remodel in Vancouver? Vancouver has been an incorporated city since 1857, so it runs its own permit office and issues and inspects the work itself rather than sending it to Clark County.
- Does the Columbia River Gorge weather change how you build in Vancouver? It changes the detailing and the schedule. High pressure east of the Cascades pushes cold east winds down the gorge, and Vancouver gets silver thaw storms where freezing rain coats everything, which the sheltered Willamette Valley largely misses.
- Does the cold east wind off the gorge actually affect a Vancouver remodel? It affects timing and detailing more than most people expect. High pressure east of the Cascades pushes cold air down the Columbia River Gorge, and Vancouver gets silver thaw storms where freezing rain coats everything, which the sheltered valley south of the river largely misses.
Remodeling in Vancouver, and we come to you
Vancouver is the county seat of Clark County and the fourth-most populous city in Washington, with 190,915 residents at the 2020 census across nearly fifty square miles on the north bank of the Columbia. It grew up around Fort Vancouver, a Hudson's Bay Company fur trading post established in 1824, and incorporated as a city on 23 January 1857.
The name took a while to settle. Henry Williamson platted a claim he called Vancouver City before 1845, Amos Short traced over it in 1850 and called the place Columbia City, and it became Vancouver again in 1855. Under an act of the 1859 to 1860 legislature the city was briefly the capital of Washington Territory before the status returned to Olympia.
The weather here is not quite Portland's, and the difference is structural. High pressure east of the Cascades drives cold east winds down the Columbia River Gorge, and Vancouver has historically seen colder temperatures than the sheltered Willamette Valley, including silver thaw storms where freezing rain cakes limbs and power lines. Average annual precipitation is about 42 inches and major snowstorms come every two to four years.
Two bridges carry the city's relationship with Portland, the Interstate Bridge and the Glenn Jackson Bridge, which together took 297,932 weekday vehicle crossings in 2017. From clear ground in Vancouver you can see Mount Hood, Mount St. Helens, Mount Rainier, Mount Jefferson and Mount Adams, which is a reasonable argument for thinking hard about where the windows go.
What we run into in Vancouver houses
A city incorporated in 1857 and now spread over almost fifty square miles has no typical house. We work on pre-war stock near the old core and on construction finished last decade on the eastern edge, and the two share nothing behind the drywall. That is the argument for opening the house on the walkthrough instead of pricing from a city average.
The gorge wind is the one local factor worth planning around. Exterior work, window openings and anything that changes the building envelope get detailed for cold east wind and freezing rain rather than for a mild valley winter, and the schedule allows for the weather this side of the river actually gets.
Flooding has shaped parts of the city too. The Columbia flooded destructively in June 1894 and again in May 1948 before the dams went in, and low ground carries that history. We check crawlspaces and subfloors here rather than take them on trust.
If your property is on low ground near the river, say so at the first call. The Columbia flooded destructively in 1894 and 1948 before the dams went in, and crawlspaces on low ground carry that history in ways worth checking before a floor is priced.
Permits and who has jurisdiction in Vancouver
Vancouver is an incorporated city and reviews and inspects its own work through the city permit office rather than routing it to Clark County.
Why your Vancouver price is fixed before we start
Across fifty square miles of housing built over more than a century and a half, an average price is not a price. A fixed-price contract means the number for your agreed scope is set in writing before anyone starts demolition. You are not exposed to surprise change orders because we did not look closely enough at the front end. If we find something genuinely hidden, we bring it to you with options and a written price.
You also get daily photo updates while your kitchen or bathroom is out of service, a clear schedule shared before the first day, a final walkthrough that closes out every punch-list item, and a 3-year workmanship warranty on what we build.
One accountable team on your Vancouver job, start to finish
In a city this size it is easy to end up with a different subcontractor every week. You get one crew and one number to call. The same crew that starts your Vancouver project finishes it, and you get one number to call. Reach us at (503) 341-9590.

Getting There, and Who Inspects It
How we reach Vancouver, and who issues your permit
From our shop to Vancouver
Our shop is on SE Blanton Street in the Oak Grove area of Clackamas County, on Oregon 99E, the road most people here call McLoughlin Boulevard. It runs north toward downtown Portland and south toward Oregon City, which is how most of our service area gets reached. Measured straight-line from our shop's geocoded centre (45.3889857, -122.613645), that is about 9 miles to downtown Portland and about 2 miles to Oregon City - point-to-point distances, not drive times.
Vancouver is on the north bank of the Columbia, and we cross on either the Interstate Bridge, which carries I-5 and is a lift bridge that still opens for river traffic, or the Glenn L. Jackson Memorial Bridge, which carries I-205 over Government Island. I-5, I-205, SR 14, SR 500 and SR 501 all serve the city. Much of what reads as Vancouver today came in by annexation, including one in 1997 that added over 11,000 acres, so a lot of the housing is 1990s and later.
Vancouver is an incorporated city and issues its own permits through Vancouver Permits and Inspections. We pull the permits and book the inspections as part of the job, and the cost sits inside your fixed price rather than turning up later.

Questions
Vancouver remodeling FAQs
Do you come out to Vancouver for the estimate?
Yes. We come to you. Vancouver is part of our Clark County service area, and we drive out to walk the space, talk through what you want changed, and hand you a written, fixed-price scope before any work starts.
Who issues the permit for a remodel in Vancouver?
Vancouver has been an incorporated city since 1857, so it runs its own permit office and issues and inspects the work itself rather than sending it to Clark County. We pull the permit and book the inspections as part of the job, and the cost sits inside your fixed price.
Does the Columbia River Gorge weather change how you build in Vancouver?
It changes the detailing and the schedule. High pressure east of the Cascades pushes cold east winds down the gorge, and Vancouver gets silver thaw storms where freezing rain coats everything, which the sheltered Willamette Valley largely misses. Anything that opens the building envelope gets detailed and sequenced for that.
Does the cold east wind off the gorge actually affect a Vancouver remodel?
It affects timing and detailing more than most people expect. High pressure east of the Cascades pushes cold air down the Columbia River Gorge, and Vancouver gets silver thaw storms where freezing rain coats everything, which the sheltered valley south of the river largely misses. Work that opens the building envelope gets scheduled and detailed with that in mind.
Vancouver is a big city. Is there a typical remodel here?
Not really, and that is the honest answer. The city covers nearly fifty square miles and has been incorporated since 1857, so a house near the old core and a house on the eastern edge have almost nothing in common behind the drywall. We open what can be opened before quoting.
What remodeling services do you offer in Vancouver?
Kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, full-home and custom remodeling, deck building, millwork and finish carpentry, and mold remediation, each on a written, fixed-price contract. You can open any of these from the services section above.
